NCP expels its organiser Muntasir Mahmud for violating party discipline
Despite repeated warnings during the disciplinary committee's proceedings, Mahmud continued to breach party discipline, the notice said
The National Citizens' Party (NCP) has expelled its organiser, Muntasir Mahmud, from the party for repeatedly violating organisational discipline.
The decision was announced in a notice, signed by Sadia Farzana Dina, member of the party's office cell, this evening (5 November).
According to the notice, the party had earlier issued a show‑cause notice on 12 October, placing Mahmud under temporary suspension and asking him to explain in writing why he should not be permanently expelled.
Despite repeated warnings during the disciplinary committee's proceedings, Mahmud continued to breach party discipline, the notice added.
Mahmud submitted his written reply two days later, on 14 October. After reviewing the response, the party found his explanation unsatisfactory.
NCP Convener Md Nahid Islam and Member‑Secretary Akhtar Hossain ordered his permanent expulsion from the party.
