Tarique Rahman focuses on education, jobs, social harmony on PMO debut
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman chaired a meeting at the PMO to discuss education reform, job creation and sports infrastructure development.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman presided over two key meetings at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in Tejgaon today (21 February), focusing on religious and social harmony, as well as education, employment, and sports development.
Held in the Cabinet Conference Room, the meetings were attended by ministers, state ministers, and senior officials. Discussions centred on strategies to foster a harmonious society, promote a cheerful and career-oriented education system, create employment opportunities, and expand sports infrastructure and training facilities nationwide.
Today also marked the Prime Minister's first day at the PMO since assuming office. Despite a public holiday, he arrived at 10:10am, welcomed by Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar and Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.
PM's Press Secretary Saleh Shibli said the administration aims to lay the foundation for inclusive growth and meaningful opportunities for youth engagement. Officials added that the meetings will guide policy planning and implementation in the coming months, emphasising a safe, constructive, and opportunity-rich environment for all citizens.
