Leaders from Jamaat, NCP, other religious groups attend Islami Andolan’s grand rally

Leaders from various religious groups and political parties took part in a grand rally organised by Islami Andolan Bangladesh in the capital today (28 June).
The event, aimed at promoting interfaith unity and addressing national concerns, drew participation from prominent figures representing the Hindu, Buddhist, and Christian communities, as well as key leaders from several Islamist political parties.
Among the minority community leaders who attended the event were Govinda Chandra Pramanik, secretary general of Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Mohajote, Doyal Kumar Barua, president of Bodhigyan Bhabanakendra, and Nirmal Rozario, president of the Bangladesh Christian Association and the Bangladesh Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Association.
Several senior leaders of Islamist political parties also attended the rally, including Mujibur Rahman, nayeb-e-ameer, Mia Golam Parwar, secretary general and Rafiqul Islam Khan, assistant secretary general of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
Leaders from other Islamic parties included Maulana Musa bin Izhar, secretary general of Nezame Islam Party, Ahmad Abdul Quader, secretary general of Khelafat Majlish, Maulana Sakhawat Hossain Raji, secretary general of Islami Oikya Jote, Jalal Uddin, secretary general of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, and Yusuf Sadiq Haqqani, secretary general of Khelafat Andolan Bangladesh.
Akhtar Hossain, member secretary of the National Citizen Party (NCP), and Sarjis Alam, chief organiser of NCP's northern region also joined the programme, as did Nurul Haque Nur, president of Gono Odhikar Parishad and Mojibur Rahman Monju, president of Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party).
The rally focused on unity across religious and ideological lines and called for a stronger, more inclusive democratic process in Bangladesh, while the leaders urged peaceful dialogue, religious tolerance, and political reform amid the nation's evolving political landscape.
