Jucsu polls: Top 4 winners and their vote counts
Shibir's panel secured 20 out of 25 posts in the Jucsu polls

The result of the Jahangirnagar University Central Students' Union (Jucsu) election have been declared today (13 September), nearly 40 hours after the counting began on Thursday.
"Swatantra Shikkharthi Sammilon" panel candidate Abdur Rashid Zitu has been elected vice president, while Shibir's Mazharul Islam secured the position of general secretary.

According to the announced results, Zitu bagged 3,334 votes, defeating his nearest rival, Shibir's Arif Ullah secured 2,392 votes.

For the general secretary post, Mazharul Islam won with 3,930 votes. His closest competitor, Abu Touhid Md Siam of the Bangladesh Ganatantrik Chhatra Sangsad (BGCS)-backed panel, obtained 1,238 votes.

In the race for assistant general secretary (male), Shibir's Ferdous Al Hasan won with 2,358 votes, while his rival Zia Uddin Ayan of the BGCS's panel secured only 214 votes.

Meanwhile, for the assistant general secretary (female) post, Shibir's Ayesha Siddika Meghla bagged 3,402 votes, defeating Maliha Namlah of the BGCS-backed panel, who secured 1,836 votes.
Voting in the Jucsu election began on 11 September. Vote counting started at 10:30pm that day. The results were announced by the election commission two days later.
