JCD President Rakib sick, general secy clarifies, debunking 'dismissal rumours'
“During the president's illness, I have observed various baseless rumours being spread. All of these are intentional and misleading propaganda. I urge everyone to avoid such rumours,” he also wrote

Rakibul Islam Rakib, president of the Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal (JCD), has fallen ill with a cold and fever after participating in organisational programmes in the rain for several days, the organisation's General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir clarified today amid rumours of his dismissal.
"As a result, he [Rakib] could not take part in any programs today. I wish him a speedy recovery," Nasir wrote on his Facebook profile this afternoon.
"During the president's illness, I have observed various baseless rumours being spread. All of these are intentional and misleading propaganda. I urge everyone to avoid such rumours," he also wrote.
The post came as various speculations are being spread on social media platforms claiming that Rakib has been dismissed from his post as president of the BNP's student wing.
Some of the rumours also claimed that JCD Central Senior Vice President Abu Afsan Mohammad Yahya has been made the acting president of the organisation.
However, speaking to The Business Standard, Nasir said, "This is not true. These rumours are being as part of deliberate propaganda."
