Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has postponed its planned rally in the capital's Suhrawardy Udyan on 3 January due to the first-year undergraduate admission tests for the 2025-26 academic session at nine agricultural universities.
The party's Secretary General Mia Golam Porwar made the announcement in a statement this evening (28 December).
Jamaat had planned the rally to protest the prevailing law and order situation across the country and criminal activities, and to demand justice for the murder of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi.
