Jamaat condemns Arakan Army's intrusion into Bangladesh territory
Golam Parwar also questioned the government and security forces' response to the incident

Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar has strongly condemned the intrusion of uniformed and armed members of the Arakan Army into Bangladeshi territory on 16 and 17 April.
In a statement issued today (20 April), Parwar said, "We strongly protest the blatant violation of Bangladesh's sovereignty by the Arakan Army, which entered 10 kilometres into the Remakri Mukh area of Tindu Union in Thanchi Upazila, Bandarban.
"They not only trespassed into our territory but also celebrated the 'Jal Keli' festival with local tribes, an event that was later promoted on their official social media platforms. Members of the Arakan Army's political wing, ULA, reportedly took part in the festivities."
He asserted this act challenged Bangladesh's independence and sovereignty, expressing concern over how the Arakan Army dared to enter the country.
The Jamaat leader also questioned the government and security forces' response to the incident.
Parwar demanded a clear statement and strong action against the Arakan Army's "audacious and internationally illegal activities" in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, including Bandarban.
