If any adviser joins politics, they'll do after resigning from govt: Adviser Asif
Political interference in government operations is also unacceptable, he says

If any adviser of the interim government engages in political activities, he/she will first resign from the post, Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain said today (23 January).
"We unequivocally oppose any political involvement by government advisers. Any adviser engaging in politics will resign from the government," he said in a Facebook post this evening.
Asif's reaction came after Adviser Nahid Islam criticised senior BNP leader Mirza Fakhrul's demand for a neutral government.
"Similarly, political interference in government operations is unacceptable. Lobbying or applying pressure for appointments to key government or constitutional positions is inappropriate," Asif said in the post.
Speaking at a discussion on the 56th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Asad at the National Press Club, in response to a question, Mirza Fakhrul said, "I have said a neutral government is needed because we see the government isn't able to play the neutral role in some issues. I request and hope it is able to do so and fulfil its responsibility to free the country from the crisis."
