Govt failed to ensure medical care for people: BNP
Moin Khan alleged that “corruption by the government” is responsible for the situation
BNP Standing Committee Member Dr Abdul Moin Khan said the government has failed to ensure medical care for the people.
Speaking at a discussion at BNP chairperson's Gulshan office today, the BNP leader said both city corporations in Dhaka have failed to control the dengue outbreak despite "spending crores of taka".
He also alleged that "corruption by the government" is responsible for the situation.

As per the constitution, the government is responsible for ensuring five basic things, one of which is medical care. But it has failed to ensure healthcare for the people, Moin said.
The BNP is dedicated to serving the public even as the opposition party, amidst challenging circumstances, considering the government's shortcomings to do so, he claimed.
"This is attributed to Ziaur Rahman, the BNP's founder, who consistently prioritised the welfare of the people. He initiated numerous initiatives aimed at improving society and benefiting the people," he added.
Mentioning that this government has been in power for 15 years, Moin said, "They [government] have rigged votes, engaged in corruption, looting, torture, and filed false cases. Lakhs and thousands of crores of taka have been smuggled out of the country through corruption."
