Deep conspiracy going on against nation: Jamaat Chief

A deep-rooted conspiracy has begun against the country, involving both domestic and foreign elements, said Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman.
He made the statement during a Central Working Committee meeting held yesterday (15 May) afternoon at the party's central office.
The Jamaat chief stated that Bangladesh is passing through a critical phase, where efforts are being made to disrupt the nation's peace and stability. He urged citizens to remain alert, united, and conscious of the threats facing the country.
Referring to the legacy of the July movement, the ameer called on all levels of leadership to work towards building a humane and just Bangladesh.
"Party leaders must exercise maximum caution in speech and behaviour, avoiding provocation or involvement in any undesirable incident," he said.
Presided over by Shafiqur Rahman, the meeting brought together Nayeb-e-Ameers, the acting secretary general, and other senior members of the Central Working Committee. Discussions centered around the current political climate and key organisational matters.
