Chhatra Dal leaders lock Ctg south BNP office
Some 15-20 leaders and activists locked the office located at the Dost Building in Chattogram’s New Market area on Saturday

Chhatra Dal leaders and activists without a position in the organising committee of Chattogram South BNP have locked the office, alleging that the new organising committee is made of only expatriates, bank insurance company employees and married individuals.
Some 15-20 leaders and activists locked the office located at the Dost Building in Chattogram's New Market area on Saturday (26 August).
Chattogram South BNP Convener Abu Sufian said the office was closed in the morning.
"They locked an already closed office. There's unhealthy competition in politics. You can't always make everyone happy. We are not giving it that much importance. I hope this will be resolved soon," he added.
One of the agitating protestors Ziaul Haque Jonaid said most of the announced 42-member committee are married, expatriates and employees of bank-insurance companies.
"After the announcement of the committee, I spoke to the general secretary of the central chhatra dal. He said he did not know anything about the committee," he added.
"We want the committee to be dissolved immediately and demand the announcement of a new committee," Jonaid said.
On 11 August, the 42-member organising committee of Chattogram South Chhatra Dal was announced in a press release signed by Central Chhatra Dal Acting President Rashed Iqbal Khan and General Secretary Saif Mahmud.
Robiul Hossain Robi was made the convener, while Kamruddin Sabuj was made member secretary of Chattogram South Chhatra Dal in that announcement.
