Chhatra Dal can’t even run its own org properly, laughable when they talk about others: Shibir president
"For the past 15 years, the setup of each of the 132 units of Islami Chhatra Shibir has been completed in January every year. In those 15 years, has any committee of Chhatra Dal been formed on time?" asks Zahidul Islam

Rubbishing recent comments made by the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, where it claimed that "Chhatra Shibir was a secret organisation", Islami Chhatra Shibir President Zahidul Islam has said it is laughable that an organisation which could not run itself properly was commenting on others.
Responding to a question during a view-exchange meeting with local journalists at Khulna Press Club today (20 February), Zahidul said for the past 15 years, the setup of each of the 132 units of Shibir -- the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami -- has been completed in January every year.
"In those 15 years, has any committee of Chhatra Dal been formed on time? Rather, we have seen grouping and lobbying centred around the formation of their committees in various places," he said.
Zahidul also said they no longer wanted the form of student politics that led to people being killed.
"Rather, we want student politics through which merit practice, service-oriented competition, political awareness, constructive politics, and future leadership will be created," he said.
Speaking about the attacks at the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet), Zahidul said it was between Chhatra Dal and ordinary students.
"Those who want to link it with Shibir have ulterior motives. Rather, it is the propaganda of those who play the politics of 'putting the blame on Shibir'," he said.
Regarding Chhatra Dal's allegation that Chhatra Shibir is carrying out various programmes under the banner of the Students Against Discrimination, Zahidul asked why these questions were suddenly being brought up.
"No one asked these when the movement was against Hasina. So why now?" he asked.
