Jamaat rally: BNP not invited; NCP, other Islamic parties attend
NCP and other Islamic parties' representatives are attending the rally today (19 July) at Suhrawardy Udyan

The BNP was not invited to Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's rally in the capital's historical Suhrawardy Udyan today (19 July).
BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed told TBS, "We did not receive any invitation from Jamaat-e-Islami to attend their rally."
This comes despite Jamaat announcing during a press conference on Thursday (17 July) that it had invited leaders from various political parties — including BNP, National Citizen Party, and Islami Andolan Bangladesh — to join the event.
When contacted, BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said, "No one from the BNP will be attending Jamaat's rally."
Asked whether the party had in fact received an invitation, he replied, "I have no information on that."
Meanwhile, leaders from several political parties, including the National Citizen Party (NCP), Gono Odhikar Parishad, Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Khelafat Majlish, Khelafat Andolon, JAGPA, and Jonotar Odhikar Party, among others, attended Jamaat's rally today (19 July) at Suhrawardy Udyan.
