Avoid politics that divides Hindus and Muslims: Fakhrul
The BNP leader assures the Hindu community of his unwavering support

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today (30 April) emphasised the need to overcome divisive politics that sometimes separates Hindu and Muslim communities.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony of the Shanidev Temple in Thakurgaon, the BNP senior leader recalled the united spirit of the 1971 Liberation War, where religious differences were set aside for a common cause.
"Our politics sometimes separates us. We must avoid that kind of politics," he said, assuring the Hindu community of his unwavering support.
"Your danger means my danger. Your peace means my peace. Your happiness means my happiness," he said.
He also warned against "ongoing conspiracies and misinformation, particularly on social media", which he believes are designed to destabilise society and create divisions.
He urged everyone to resist these attempts and instead focus on building a harmonious and inclusive society.
