PM attends Jamaat's iftar
The iftar programme was held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship International Conference Center
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has attended the iftar event organised by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in the capital today (28 February).
The iftar programme was held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship International Conference Center.
As per the prime minister's scheduled programme, he first attended a views-exchange meeting with officials and heads of departments at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon at 10am. He later joined the Jamaat-organised iftar in the afternoon.
Earlier on 25 February, Jamaat's Secretary General Mia Golam Porwar and Assistant Secretary General Abdul Halim met the prime minister at the Secretariat and formally handed over the invitation letter for the iftar event.
Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon, BNP Standing Committee members Mirza Abbas, Moyeen Khan, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis Ameer Mamunul Haque, Jamaat's Nayeb-e-Amir and MP Syed Abdullah Mohammed Taher, Jagpa spokesperson Rashed Pradhan, NCP member secretary and MP Akhter Hossen, NCP Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary, Nagorik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna, LDP President Oli Ahmad, Ducsu VP Shadik Kayem and MPs, eminent personalities and journalists, among others, attended the iftar.
