PEN America announces winners of PEN/Heim Translation Fund Grants
PEN America announced the recipients of the 2020 PEN/Heim Translation Fund Grants.
The translation of Shabnam Nadiya and Mashiul Alam received the fund grant.
Shabnam Nadiya's translation from Bengali version of "The Meat Market and Other Stories" introduces the readers to the visceral world of Mashiul Alam's "Bangladesh".

Mashiul Alam, a journalist and an author of nonfiction, short stories, novels, and young adult literature, has written at least 20 books, but The Meat Market and Other Stories is the first English language volume of the author's work.
