Pabna robbery reports exaggerated by some media: CA’s deputy press secretary

Reports of a mass robbery in Pabna's Santhia early on Saturday have been exaggerated by certain media outlets, Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Azad Majumder said today (1 March).
"Some media outlets reported that 40 vehicles were robbed, while others claimed ten. For those reporting ten, eyewitness accounts in their reports mentioned that five vehicles were involved," he said during a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital.
The incident took place when a large group of robbers used trees to block a road in Pabna's Santhia and robbed the passengers of at least 20 vehicles, including buses and trucks, in a terrifying display of crime.
Several vehicles were robbed during the incident that took place near the Chechania Bridge on the Pabna-Santhia road around 1:30am this morning.
Referring to this, the deputy press secretary said, "We learned that the robbery incident involved a microbus, two trucks, and a motorcycle. The police were informed and arrived at the scene within ten minutes," he said.
He further said, "We are always vigilant on how to improve the law and order situation."
