One killed in boarding bridge tyre explosion at Sylhet airport
Sylhet Airport Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Syed Anisur Rahman said no aircraft or airport infrastructure was damaged in the incident.

One person was killed and another injured in an accident at Osmani International Airport, Sylhet, after a tyre of a boarding bridge exploded during maintenance work today (31 July).
The deceased, identified as Rumman, 22, is a resident of the Tilapara area in the city.
The airport Director, Hafiz Ahmad, told The Business Standard, "Rumman was rushed to Ragib-Rabeya Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead."
"The injured worker, Enamul, 25, a resident of Mohaldig village, is currently receiving treatment," he added.

According to the airport authorities, the incident occurred while workers from the contractor company, Sunrise Enterprise, were replacing the tyre of a boarding bridge as part of routine maintenance.
The tyre suddenly burst during the final stage of removal, injuring two workers on site.
