Hamdard holds dua for late chairman justice Rouf
A dua and memorial meeting was held for the late chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh, Justice Mohammad Abdur Rouf, to pray for the salvation of his soul. The event took place on Thursday, 20 March 2025, in the evening at the Hamdard Conference Hall in Banglamotor, Dhaka.
The chief guest at the event was Professor Maulana Dr A F M Khalid Hossain, advisor on religious affairs to the interim government. The current chairman of the trustee board, National Professor Dr A K Azad Khan, presided over the event, while the main speaker was Dr Hakim Mohammad Yusuf Harun Bhuiyan, the chief mutawalli and managing director of Hamdard Bangladesh.
Other speakers included Professor Dr Chowdhury Mahmood Hasan, vice-chairman of the trustee board, who shared memories of Justice Mohammad Abdur Rouf; Waqf administrator Mr Fakhrul Islam; and trustee board members Dr Mohammad Abdul Majid, Professor Dr Iqbal Hasan Mahmood, and Abul Hossain Khandkar.

On behalf of Justice Mohammad Abdur Rouf's family, his eldest son, Advocate Arshadur Rouf, additional attorney general, expressed their feelings. During the event, the trustee board members presented a condolence memento to the family.
The dua and prayer (munejat) were led by Shaikh Shah Wali Ullah, while the event was presented by Mr Amirul Momenin Manik, director of information and public relations at Hamdard.
