Anwarul Abedin’s 14th death anniversary to be observed
The 14th death anniversary of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) Founder Chairman Dr Anwarul Abedin will be observed on Saturday, 5 September 2026.
His family and the AIUB community will organise a Qur'an recitation, prayers and milad mahfil on the university campus, according to a press release.
The AIUB community has sought prayers from students, faculty members, officers, staff, relatives, and well-wishers for the eternal peace and salvation of his departed soul.

Dr Anwarul Abedin was an educationist who played a pioneering role in developing higher education in Bangladesh.
Driven by a commitment to expand access to quality higher education and to establish an institution of international standards, he founded AIUB with a vision to advance higher education in the country.
On his death anniversary, the AIUB community will pay tribute to his memory and remember his contributions to higher education in Bangladesh.
