There is no relation between the Chattogram-based Mir Group and the Dhaka-based conglomerate Mir Group, which is also known as the Mir Group of Companies, the latter said in a clarification today (5 September).

"Recently, certain media reports have caused confusion between the Dhaka-based Mir Group and the Chattogram-based Mir Group. We would like to emphasize that the Dhaka-based Mir Group, also known as Mir Group of Companies, has no affiliation with the Chattogram-based Mir Group or the S. Alam Group," the Dhaka-based conglomerate said.

Furthermore, it said, "Our operations are exclusively focused on the construction and information technology sectors, where we have been proudly contributing to the nation's development since 1960.
