Nitai Roy for working with new dream to build new Bangladesh
Stating that culture is the main driving force of a country, Nitai Roy said the Ministry of Cultural Affairs should take the country to such a position that a life-centric culture can be developed.
Newly appointed Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury yesterday (18 February) stressed the need for working with new dream to build a new society and a new Bangladesh.
To this end, he said, the country's heritages should be highlighted.
The minister made the remarks while exchanging views with officials of departments and entities under the ministry at the Bangladesh Secretariat, a handout said.
Stating that culture is the main driving force of a country, Nitai Roy said the Ministry of Cultural Affairs should take the country to such a position that a life-centric culture can be developed.
State Minister for Cultural Affairs Ali Newaz Mahmud Khayyam also spoke on the occasion.
The state minister called for starting a new journey with the cooperation of all concerned.
In addition, he expressed his interest in doing something new by utilising the experience and wishes of everyone.
Cultural Affairs Secretary Md Mofidur Rahman delivered the welcome speech at the meeting.
The heads of various departments and organisations under the ministry were present at the meeting.
