The advertisement rates for newspapers will be adjusted while the media list will be updated, Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuj Alam said today (18 March).

He said this while visiting five offices affiliated to his ministry. The offices are - Department of Films and Publications (DFP), Mass Communication Department, Bangladesh Film Certification Board, Bangladesh Journalist Welfare Trust and Press Information Department (PID).

Visiting the shooting floor, sound theatre, film lab, camera centre and production room of the Department of Films and Publications, Mahfuj instructed the concerned officials to renovate these facilities as soon as possible.

He urged the officials to take necessary initiatives to simplify services and increase the quality of work in accordance with the existing laws and regulations. The advisor assured the ministry's overall cooperation in the development of the departments and organizations under the ministry.

After having a look on the publications published by the Department of Films and Publications, Mahfuj advised the concerned officials on how they could publish more quality publications.

DFP Director General (current charge) Khaleda Begum, Mass Communication Department Director General (current charge) Faizul Haque, Bangladesh Film Certification Board Vice Chairman Md Abdul Jalil and Bangladesh Journalist Welfare Trust Managing Director Muhammad Abdullah were present on the occasion.
