ICT-2 orders newspaper notices for appearance of Quader, six others
The tribunal passed the order after taking cognisance of the formal charge brought against the accused.
The International Crimes Tribunal-2 (ICT-2) today ordered the publication of notices in two national daily newspapers, directing seven individuals, including Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, to appear before the tribunal by January 8 in connection with a case over crimes against humanity allegedly committed during the July Mass Uprising.
"The other accused in the case are Awami League Joint General Secretary A F M Bahauddin Nasim, former state minister for information and broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat, Jubo League President Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash and its General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, and banned Bangladesh Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain and its General Secretary Wali Asif Inan," prosecutor Abdullah Al Noman told reporters.

Earlier, on December 18, 2025, ICT-2 issued arrest warrants against the seven accused. On the same day, the prosecution submitted the formal charge to the office of the tribunal registrar.
