NCP's 'July March' to reach Sylhet on 25 July

The National Citizen Party (NCP) will take its ongoing 'July March' to Sylhet next Friday (25 July), with a political rally scheduled to take place at the Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar in the afternoon.
Extensive preparations are underway in Sylhet to ensure the success of the programme. Promotional activities include citywide poster campaigns and the construction of decorative gates along major roads, as the party anticipates significant public participation.
To finalise arrangements, senior party leaders convened a planning meeting on Saturday (19 July) at a hotel in Sylhet.
The discussion was chaired by Nazim Uddin Shahan, chief coordinator of the party's Sylhet District unit, and attended by Barrister Nurul Huda Juned, member of NCP's central executive committee, as the chief guest.
Barrister Juned, emphasised the importance of translating organisational strength into visible action, stating, "The 25 July march will serve as a reflection of our unity, discipline, and political ideals. We expect all district and metropolitan committee members to carry out their duties with responsibility and sincerity."
Speakers at the meeting noted that Sylhet is preparing to host what they described as a "historic gathering," and expressed confidence in the city's ability to demonstrate strong leadership, hospitality, and coordination.
Among others in attendance were Khairul Islam, chief coordinator of the Sylhet Metropolitan unit; Faisal Ahmed, joint coordinator of the District unit; as well as leaders from the Youth Wing, Democratic Students' Council, and various regional committees.
