The National Consensus Commission (NCC) has started discussions with experts to ensure the legal binding of the July Charter and find ways to implement it.
The commission held a discussion with law and constitutional experts at the LD Hall of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Sunday (10 August), according to a press release.
Retired Supreme Court justice MA Matin, Justice Mainul Islam Chowdhury, Dhaka University's Dean of the Faculty of Law Mohammad Ikramul Haque, Supreme Court Senior Advocate Sharif Bhuiyan, Barrister Tanim Hossain Shawon and Barrister Imran Siddique participated as experts.
NCC Vice Chairman Professor Ali Riaz, members Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Dr Iftekharuzzaman, Dr Badiul Alam Majumder, Safar Raj Hossain and Dr Md Ayub Mia and Chief Adviser's Special Assistant Manir Haider, were present at the time.
