National Consensus Commission to resume reform talks tomorrow

The National Consensus Commission will resume its second-round of talks tomorrow (7 July) with political parties, aiming to build an agreement on major state reform initiatives proposed by the interim government.
The tenth day of the second-round dialogue will begin at 10:30am at Foreign Service Academy in the capital.
At the ninth day of the second phase of dialogues of the commission, political parties reached a consensus on reforming the constitutional provisions related to presidential pardons and decentralisation of the judiciary.
So far, discussions have covered key constitutional issues including Article 70, parliamentary standing committee chairmanship, constituency delimitation, presidential clemency powers, and judicial decentralisation.
