This high-quality oil is being marketed in different parts of the country as well as being exported to India

Despite the outbreak of coronavirus, the four auto oil mills in Naogaon Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) industrial area have been working in full swing producing 20,000 litres of oil and 36,000 kg of oilcake daily.
This high-quality oil is being marketed in different parts of the country as well as being exported to India. In addition, the oilcake produced in the mills is playing an important role in meeting the demand for animal feed at the local level.
Industrial City Officer, Md Anwarul Azim, said, "The auto oil mills are carrying out their production activities round the clock in compliance with the hygiene rules. The contribution of these factories in keeping the supply chain normal in the market is commendable. Besides, the produced oil and oilcake are being exported to different parts of the country and even abroad after meeting the demand of the local market."
The monitoring team formed under the direction of BSCIC head office is regularly monitoring these factories. The members of the monitoring team are instructing each industry owner to continue production by ensuring the provision of health protection items such as masks, gloves, handwash, hand sanitiser, disinfectant spray, etc. for the factory workers. They have also continued monitoring to ensure these through regular and casual factory inspections.
