Mymensingh flood victims receive free medicine, cash assistance from Army
Tin and other relief items were also distributed
A total of 800 people in the flood affected areas of Mymensingh have received free healthcare and medicine at a medical camp organised by the Bangladesh Army.
The camp was organised on Monday in Haluaghat upazila by the 403 Battle Group of Bangladesh Army Training and Doctrine Command, says an ISPR press release.
Earlier, on 3 October, around 53 villages in Haluaghat and Dhobaura upazilas in the district were flooded due to incessant rainfall and onrush of upstream waters.

The Army teams from the 403 Battle Group also took part in evacuation drives in the affected areas.
Maj Gen AKM Nazmul Hasan, acting GOC (general officer commanding) of Training and Doctrine Command at Army Headquarters, inspected the medical camp and distributed relief materials among the flood victims today.
In addition, he distributed tin (corrugated iron sheets) and cash assistance among 50 affected families in Haluaghat.
Army teams from the 403 Battle Group have so far rescued 369 people from various flood-hit areas of Mymensingh, distributed 2,450 relief packets and provided free medical aid to 1,800 victims in the district, reads the media release.
