Attack on VP Nur is a reflection of misrule: Mujahidul Islam

Communist Party Bangladesh's president Mujahidul Islam Selim has said misrule is prevailing in the country.

"Misrule is prevailing in the country. The attack on Ducsu VP was a reflection of such misrule. We have also been attacked before," he said condemning the attack on Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) vice president, Nurul Haque Nur.

"Muktijuddho Moncho stigmatizes the essence of the liberation war and it should be announced illegal immediately," he added.

Selim also added that there is video footage of the attack to prove the incident and demanded punishment of the attackers by identifying them scrutinising the footage.

Mujahidul further said, "Only a mass uprising can now relieve us from the persisting political situation of the country."
