Miscreants tried to destabilise Durga Puja with neighbour country's support: Home adviser
The adviser noted that the conspirators failed in their attempt

Some miscreants attempted to disrupt the Durga Puja celebrations in Bangladesh with support from a neighbouring country, Home Adviser Lt Gen (retired) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said today (1 October).
"Some miscreants, with the help of neighbouring country, have tried to prevent this puja from going well, and the Buddhist victory festival from going well," he said while visiting a Puja mandap in Ichhapura, Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj.
The adviser noted that the conspirators failed in their attempt. "They tried to destabilise the Puja, but they could not succeed. This was only possible because of everyone's cooperation," he added.
"There was external instigation to prevent the Puja from being celebrated properly. But this year, Puja was celebrated peacefully across Bangladesh."
Expressing gratitude, the adviser said, "Thank you all for your cooperation. Tomorrow is the immersion, and I hope it will also take place in a good way."
When asked about the demand for the withdrawal of the army from the Chittagong Hill Tracts, he said, "This is a demand they always raise."
