Milestone tragedy: Injured Cumilla twin sisters Sarina, Saiba's condition stable, doctors say

Twin sisters Sarina Jahan and Saiba Jahan, from Kuliara village of Batisha Union in Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla, are among those who sustained burns during Monday's plane crash at Milestone School and College in the capital's Uttara that left at least 32 dead.
The twin girls, daughters of businessman Yasin Majumder in Uttara, are currently undergoing treatment at the coronary care unit (CCU) of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
Sarina, a third-grader at Milestone School, suffered burns to 20% of her body parts, while Saiba, a fourth-grader at the same school, received burns to 8% of her body.
Their father Yasin Majumder told The Business Standard that on information about the fatal plane crash on Monday, he, along with his wife, rushed to the scene immediately and frantically searched for their daughters at the affected institution.
Later, the couple found their daughters at the burn institute, where many of the injured, along with the two, were taken for treatment following the crash.
"They are currently undergoing treatment at the coronary care unit (CCU) of the burn institute. Doctors said they are now out of danger," said Yasin Majumder.
Currently, a total of 78 people, including children, who sustained injuries during the deadly plane crash, are undergoing treatment at various health facilities.
