Milestone tragedy: Death toll at 36 as another injured teacher, who suffered 25% burns, dies
Currently, 23 people who suffered burns in the plane crash are still undergoing treatment at the burn institute

The death toll from the Milestone School and College tragedy rose to 36 today (14 August) after another victim succumbed to their injuries at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (NIBPS).
The deceased was identified as a teacher at the school Mahfuza, 45, confirmed Resident Surgeon Dr Shawon Bin Rahman of the NIBPS.
She suffered 25% burns and was undergoing treatment at the NIBPS when she died at 12:45pm today.
Currently, 23 people who suffered burns in the plane crash are still undergoing treatment at the burn institute, while 14 people have been discharged after treatment, said Dr Shawon.
On 21 July, a Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) F-7 BGI fighter jet crashed into the primary section building of Milestone School and College's Diabari campus in Uttara shortly after takeoff, triggering a massive fire.
The aircraft had departed from BAF Base Bir Uttom AK Khandker at 1:06pm and crashed just before school ended, reportedly due to a technical failure.
The pilot ejected from the jet but later died from his injuries at the Combined Military Hospital.
