A mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping across several parts of the country, and it may continue, according to a bulletin issued by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) this morning (3 June).
"A mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and the districts of Dhaka, Narayanganj, Tangail, Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalganj, Manikganj, Mymensingh, Chandpur, Noakhali, Brahmanbaria, Barishal, Patuakhali and Bhola, and it may continue," it said.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The trough of the westerly low persists from West Bengal to North Bay. Southwest monsoon may advance up to the Teknaf coast during the next 72 hours.
