A mild heatwave is sweeping over parts of the country, according to the Bangladesh Meteorology Office (BMD).
A met office official told The Business Standard today (10 June) that the mild heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Khulna divisions and the districts of Faridpur, Madaripur, Tangail, Chandpur, Feni and Patuakhali.
The heat wave may continue, said the official.
Also, Dhaka dwellers are especially suffering from unbearable heat due to increased humidity.
According to the met office, the humidity level in Dhaka was 90% at 6am today.
