Govt cancels licences of 45 recruiting agencies over failing to send 100 workers abroad

The interim government today (30 October) has cancelled the licences of 45 recruiting agencies for failing to send at least 100 workers abroad since receiving their licences.
The decision was announced in an office order issued by the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment.
According to the order, as per the terms and conditions of the licence, all recruiting agencies are required to comply with the provisions of the Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Act, 2013, the Overseas Employment and Migrants (Amendment) Act, 2023, and all related laws and regulations.

However, the 45 recruiting agencies mentioned below have failed to send 100 workers abroad since the issuance of their licences.
Therefore, under the Overseas Employment and Migrants Act, 2013, the licences of these 45 recruiting agencies have been cancelled.
