Man, son killed in hit-and-run on Dhaka–Bhanga Expressway

A road accident on the Dhaka–Bhanga Expressway in Faridpur's Bhanga upazila claimed the lives of a truck driver and his son early today (16 May) after an unidentified vehicle struck them and fled the scene.
The deceased were Yusuf Ali, 50, a truck driver from the Rupdia area of Jashore, and his son Yakub Ali, 26.
Police said the duo were changing a punctured tyre of their truck on the Bhanga-bound lane of the expressway when a speeding unidentified vehicle hit them from behind.

The damaged truck was later removed from the road and taken to the police station, he added.
