Malaysian labour market to reopen soon: Minister

Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed on Wednesday said in Parliament that the labour market in Malaysia will reopen soon for Bangladesh.
"Bangladeshi workers will be able to go there with logical expenditure through transparent, safe and ethical way for doing jobs there," he said while making his statement under section 300 of the rules of procedure.
The minister said it is important to ensure the overall welfare of the expatriates like protecting the existing labour markets for maintaining the inflow of remittances which is one of the important driving forces of Bangladesh economy.
"We're committed to striking any deal after ensuring safe, regular and responsible migration for the outgoing workers," he said.
