The low-pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal intensified into a well-marked low over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and Equatorial Indian Ocean.
It is likely to move west-northwestwards, said a Met office bulletin.
Meanwhile, the ridge of the Sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and the adjoining area.
