Khaleda Zia's physical condition stable over past month: Dr Zahid
"Compared to her earlier condition, Khaleda Zia is now much more stable," he said
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's physical condition has remained quite stable over the past month, her personal physician and BNP Standing Committee member Dr AZM Zahid Hossain said today (19 December).
"Today, she was taken to the operation theatre for a minor procedure, which she tolerated very successfully. In other words, the procedure was carried out smoothly," Dr Zahid told reporters at a press conference held around 5pm in front of Evercare Hospital in the capital.
He said Khaleda Zia is currently undergoing treatment in a CCU cabin equipped with ICCU facilities, adding that "it can be said that she is effectively in the ICU."

Responding to a question, Dr Zahid said that compared to her earlier condition, Khaleda Zia is now much more stable.
On behalf of Khaleda Zia's family and the party, he also requested prayers from the people of the country.
