The 18th assembly and budget session of the 11th parliament will begin on 5 June, to place the budget for fiscal year 2022-23. 

President Md Abdul Hamid will convene the session exercising the power bestowed upon him as per Clause (1) of Article 72 of the Constitution, a press release of the Parliament Secretariat said on Wednesday. 

The budget session of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad will begin at 5pm in parliament in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar of the capital.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal is expected to present the national budget for FY23 in parliament on 9 June. This will be the 4th budget presented by Mustafa Kamal.

This year there will be little restriction on the entry of media personnel covering the budget session, alongside officials and employees of parliament.
