Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan deletes Facebook post congratulating Shibir on Ducsu win

Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan has deleted the post on its verified Facebook page where the party congratulated Islami Chhatra Shibir on winning the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) elections.
Earlier today (10 September), the party posted a message stating, "New history has been made in Bangladesh. Alhamdulillah! This is the first time in the history of Bangladesh."
The party also said other panels in the election had the united support of what it termed "pro-India forces."
In its statement, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan expressed hope that the victory would not only strengthen the struggle for students' and youths' rights but also help free the people of Bangladesh from "India's conspiracies" and serve as a milestone for development and progress.
The party also credited Bangladesh's interim government for conducting the student union elections transparently and peacefully, despite what it described as unfavourable circumstances.
The post still remains visible on its X page.
