New history made in Bangladesh: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan congratulates Shibir on Ducsu win
The party also said other panels in the election had the united support of what it termed “pro-India forces”

Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan has congratulated Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, on winning the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) elections, where the panel secured victory with a large majority.
In a message posted today (10 September) on its verified Facebook page, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan said, "New history has been made in Bangladesh. Alhamdulillah! This is the first time in the history of Bangladesh."
The party also said other panels in the election had the united support of what it termed "pro-India forces."
In its statement, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan expressed hope that the victory would not only strengthen the struggle for students' and youths' rights but also help free the people of Bangladesh from "India's conspiracies" and serve as a milestone for development and progress.
The party also credited Bangladesh's interim government for conducting the student union elections transparently and peacefully, despite what it described as unfavourable circumstances.
