Jajira OC found dead at police station compound

The officer-in-charge of Jajira Police Station in Shariatpur district was found hanging at the police station compound today (9 January).
Nazrul Islam, superintendent of Shariatpur police said OC Al Amin, who joined the police station on 24 September 2024, used to live at the thana complex.
The colleagues of Al Amin saw him hanging from the ceiling in his room through a window in the afternoon and informed others.

He might have committed suicide, said police super.
The body will be recovered after the arrival of the forensic team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID), he added.
