Irish tourist dies during Sundarbans tour
This morning, Neylin suddenly fell ill on the vessel and died while it was stationed at the sanctuary jetty.

An Irish tourist died while visiting the Sundarbans with a group today (20 September).
The deceased, Carmel Neylin, 57, identified as an Irish national, passed away on a vessel anchored at the Kochikhali Wildlife Sanctuary jetty under the Sundarbans East Forest Division, confirmed Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Sundarbans East, Md Rezaul Karim.
He said the group boarded a vessel named MV Alaska from Mongla yesterday afternoon. They first visited the Karamjal Wildlife Breeding Center before anchoring at Kochikhali for the night.
This morning, Neylin suddenly fell ill on the vessel and died while it was stationed at the sanctuary jetty.
"She was travelling with her husband and other foreign tourists, accompanied by a doctor. The initial assumption is that she suffered a stroke," the DFO said.
Officials from the Forest Department and the Sarankhola River Police brought the body to the locality. After legal formalities, it will be handed over to her family, he added.
