Innovative solutions to real-life problems demonstrated at Cuet tech fest
Organised by the international engineering organisation, or “IEEE”, the event was attended by more than a hundred young researchers from across the country, including from Ruet, Kuet, and various other universities.

A research festival titled "SciBlitz 1.0" took place at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (Cuet), where a group of young researchers presented their researches on science, technology, engineering, health, and mathematics.
Some explained designs for eco-friendly buildings, some demonstrated ways to reduce traffic congestion, while others introduced new technologies aimed at making life easier.
Organised by the international engineering organisation, or "IEEE", the event was attended by more than a hundred young researchers from across the country, including from Ruet, Kuet, and various other universities.
Each research was presented in two specific formats— a three-minute pitch and a poster presentation displayed as wall art.
One of the participants, Naziyat Binte Harun told The Business Standard, "We worked on biodegradable plastic, which significantly reduces the harmful environmental impact compared to regular plastic. Since plastic has become a major global issue, we looked for a solution that is both eco-friendly and sustainable. However, biodegradable plastics also have environmental implications, so we recommended using green energy and green energy-based technologies."
IEEE Cuet Chapter President Asif Miraj said, "We have noticed great interest in research among CUET students as well as those from other universities. But there's a lack of sufficient platforms for peer review before publishing research papers. That's why we organised this event.
IEEE is a technical club, and we always try to maintain technical standards. Our goal is to provide maximum support to students in reviewing and publishing their research papers."
