Home adviser, IGP, and DMP commissioner pay tribute at Rajarbagh Police Memorial

Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam BPM along with DMP commissioner have paid tribute to the heroic police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the Liberation War, marking the National Independence Day.
According to a press release, the tribute ceremony took place at Rajarbagh Police Lines Memorial at 8am today (26 March).
Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and Chief Adviser's Special Assistant Md Khoda Baksh Chowdhury first placed floral wreaths at the memorial.
IGP Baharul Alam BPM, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Md Sazzat Ali, and RAB Director General AKM Shahidur Rahman were also present at the event.

A well-decorated police contingent presented a guard of honour, while a bugle played a solemn tune in remembrance of the martyrs.
Following this, IGP Baharul Alam BPM placed a floral wreath at the police memorial to honour the fallen police personnel.
Later, DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sazzat Ali, along with leaders of the Bangladesh Police Service Association (BPSA), led by its President and Additional IGP (Administration) Md Matiur Rahman Sheikh, and representatives of the Bangladesh Police Women Network (BPWN), also laid floral wreaths at the memorial, paying homage to the martyred police officers.
