Dengue: 1 more die, 10 new cases in 24hrs

One more death was reported from dengue in 24 hours till this morning (5 April), raising the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 14 this year.
The death was reported in the Dhaka South City Corporation, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During the period, 10 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, it added.
Of the 10 new cases, five were reported from outside city corporation areas in Barishal Division, three from Dhaka North City Corporation, one from Dhaka South, and one from Khulna Division.
Currently, 62 dengue patients are receiving treatment at different hospitals across the country.
Last year, the country witnessed a severe dengue outbreak that resulted in 575 deaths and 101,214 reported cases.
A total of 100,040 patients recovered during the period.
