Three more children have died with measles symptoms at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in the past 24 hours, hospital authorities said.
The deaths occurred in the hospital's ICU and paediatric ward between Tuesday afternoon and today (8 April).
The children, aged 11 months, 10 months and 6 months, were admitted from Kushtia, Pabna and Shibganj in Chapainawabganj.
With the latest fatalities, the number of child deaths with measles symptoms at the hospital since January has risen to 46.
Rajshahi Medical College Hospital spokesperson Dr Shankar K Biswas said 23 more children were admitted with measles symptoms in the past 24 hours, while 10 were discharged.
Currently, 133 children are undergoing treatment at the hospital. They are being treated in the measles isolation ward and designated measles corner," he added.
He further said children with low immunity are more prone to complications, with many suffering from severe respiratory distress.
"Malnutrition and prematurity are also contributing to the higher death rate. Early diagnosis could have helped contain the spread of the disease," he said.
