Hasina masterminds anti-Bangladesh activities from Kolkata office: Rizvi
He further accused Sheikh Hasina of deliberately undermining this harmony, adding that she has sought to break this unity and portray the country as riddled with division and discord, demanding people’s support for herself.

The Awami League has established an office in Kolkata from which deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina has started anti-Bangladesh activities as the mastermind, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said today (8 August).
"All the big leaders have started visiting this office. It cannot be denied that there is no connection between the Kolkata office and incidents occurring inside Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina, as the mastermind, has started anti-Bangladesh activities from there," he said.
The senior BNP leader made these remarks while speaking at an event organised by the Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Front at the Jatiya Press Club.
Rizvi emphasised the cultural unity existing among communities in Bangladesh, saying, "Our folk culture embodies religious harmony; Hindus and Muslims are part of a larger culture. Each religion has its customs, and these have always been integrated without division."
He further accused Sheikh Hasina of deliberately undermining this harmony, adding that she has sought to break this unity and portray the country as riddled with division and discord, demanding people's support for herself.
Rizvi also noted that during Sheikh Hasina's tenure, numerous Hindu temples and idols were destroyed. "Most of those caught in these incidents are connected to various Awami League organisations," he said.
He added that Sheikh Hasina fled the country. Yet, even in exile, "her conspiracies continue unabated."
